The Pakistan France Business Alliance (PFBA) was formed in 1991 with the objective of promoting bilateral trade between France and Pakistan.His Excellency, Mr. Daniel Jounneau, Ambassador of France in Pakistan, is the Patron-In-Chief.

The PFBA is the representative forum of Pakistani companies working with France and French companies established in Pakistan.

PFBA aims to encourage and promote business, mutual understanding and friendly relations between the business communities of Pakistan and France. In pursuit of his, the Alliance encourages and facilitates the exchange of visitors and delegations between the two countries, maintains directories, periodicals and others literature regarding trade information on French companies and assists in identifying and disseminating information relating to business opportunities between the two countries.

Mr. Jamil Hamdani, Managing Director of Credit Agricole (Suisse) SA, Member of the CALYON Group, is the President of PFBA.

PFBA has more than 150 members covering vital industrial and commercial segments of Pakistan. All French multinationals working in Pakistan like Alcatel, Vinci, Sanofi/Aventis, Total, Credit Agricole, Thales, Areva, Rhodia, Air France are members of PFBA.

PFBA is the privileged partner of the Economic & Commercial Department of the Embassy of France in Pakistan for promoting business relations between the private sectors of Pakistan & France. PFBA entered into a partnership Agreement with the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry in September 2004. By virtue of this agreement the PFBA can undertake the following missions in coordination with the Economic & Commercial Department.

Jointly plan visits to Pakistan for French exporters and investors, and look for opportunities for Pakistani companies in France. These visits can also involve the Pakistani chapter of French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCEF)
Jointly organize promotional events aimed at encouraging Pakistani investments in France.
Jointly get in touch with French subsidiaries and agents to invite guest-speakers from their principals in France.
Promote and organize participation of French companies in Pakistani trade fairs and exhibitions.
